First of all, I have never even read a "blog" and here I am, at my retirement age, trying to learn to blog. However, I do still have a fairly good brain and after 35+ years in medical staff services, working with hospitals, large and small, and managed care organizations, I have quite a lot of knowledge - even if I do say so myself! My younger sister is still in the profession and it sometimes makes me feel better that I am on the "outskirts" now because of all the changes currently taking place. What with FPPE and OPPE, I just can't believe how the JC "recycles" issues, like proctoring, which we did 25 years ago. I still work with a CVO on their setup and two small hospitals on meeting their accreditation for JC. Also, I really enjoy working with attorneys as their expert witness. I have had some very interesting cases in the past few years.
